Revisiting Our Origin

With our foundational collection, Episode 0: Catharsis, on display at the ITS Arcademy exhibit, “Fashionlands: Clothes Beyond Borders”, we dive into the collection that started our journey.
For Creative Director Asato Kitamura, Catharsis is not about releasing pain. It’s about transforming it into something wearable, something sacred, layered, and raw.
This is not fashion as ornamental but as a loud confession of self. A garment designed to articulate what we lack words for and to make visible the emotional weight we carry in silence.
Each garment stands to epitomize the eight foundational emotions defined by psychologist Robert Plutchik. The emotions are not merely hinted at; they are artwork embodied. Towering silhouettes and sculptural formations become echoes of joy, trust, fear, surprise, sadness, disgust, anger and anticipation.
Bending shapes and distressing fabric like mental tensions and inner turmoil. Every design is intentional but imperfect. You can see the seams and the strain, there is devotion in every stitch.
